Default VEILSIDE KIT on EBAY!!

There is a knock of version of the VeilSide kit on ebay. Just wanted to know if the kit was worth the money? Was looking to get the Rear bumper and the Side skirts. Cost $185 for the rear, $170 for the side skirts, and $185 total shipping, looking at around $540. How bad *** it that??

Don't do it bro! im warning you now!i bought the revolution kit ( sideskirts and rear) knockoff of Win kit, a couple months ago from aitracing.com.
Man i had major fitment problems, the body shop was able to get the side skirts to fit after cuttin and fabricating , but the rear bumper after extensive fitment modifications, the rear bumper still did not fit properly and was trashed as a total loss! I ve learned my lesson!

Well, a knockoff kit is just that. A knockoff. Quality and fitment will be nowhere close to the original. Most of the time those knockoff kits will need to be resized, shaved, repaired, or even reinforced. You gotta factor in the cost of the body shops labor for that. Granted even after you spend $500 for the kit and $500 for repairs/modifications, it will still be less than a real veilside kit. Don't forget what Invasian said...the body shop might not even be able to fix the knockoff kit.

So the decision is up to you.

I am glad that i got a heads up on that! But what exactly were the fittment issues, I called them today, they said the kits don't come with predrilled holes, so the fittment could be precise. How true is that???
I need to know ASAP!!

BTW anyone selling the VEILSIDE REAR BUMPER, and SIDE SKIRTS

Correction, the pictures are from one website and the person actually selling is from Pbdnmotorsports.com. He said the holes needed to be drilled in the right places or else it won't fit properly, needing professional installation. What do you guys think?

Not having predrilled holes is bad, bad, bad.

First of all, it means the bumper is not pre-fabricated for precise fitment. Secondly, it gives mr. knock-off an EASY excuse when you tell him it didn't install properly... "What? You must not have drilled the holes in the right spot!"

I wholesale cars and see a ton at the auctions w/ knockoff kits... they look like trash. The main differences I usually see improper reinforcement and fitment issues.

These guys are buying real kits, creating a vacuum-form, and dropping cheap, think ABS plastic into the vacuum-form.

i beg to differ, the veilside exec kits is one of the nicest IMO... the front bumper is ugly (only instance ill agree w/u)

as for the eBay kit... DONT DO IT!!!... u will spend more money tryin to get it to fit or end up trashin it like the 1st guy and waste ur money. just save up and do it right the 1st time. TRUST ME, i made the mistake of not "doin it right the 1st time" and ended up costing me a lot of $$$ in the end.
