I read that other members said you could cut (trace) the antennae in the back so that the tint is not interfering with reception. It makes logical sense that you could take a razor blade and cut the tint away from the antennae so that there is no metal behind it. Now, you might still have the interference issue due to the proximity of the remaining tint but what could it hurt?
I would give it a shot if I had the reflective tint and lousy reception on my gps.

I found that it is area specific. The GPS still works, but when you get into overcast, bad weather, or heavier tree cover (on those twisties we like to drive), the NAV does not track as well. Around town it worked fine. It is up to the individual driving habits that would determine to go with it or not.

It was so embarrasing...I was taking this chick to the beach and I'm showing her how niffty my new GPS is and what do you know...The GPS looses my direction and she's like your head for the ocean (while looking at the screen)...I'm like....um uh...2 minutes later the gps shows us 1 mile offshore swimming with the fish! Must do that trim/trace thing for the antena

It really depends on what color your car is...

Black tint looks good, so does silver tint...
