Trick to replacing those plastic clips?
Yes. I searched first.
Is there a trick to replacing those plastic clips on my trunk liner? I got some new ones from the Lexus dealership to replace the ones I misplaced. I thought they were a little big, but the parts guy double checked the #'s.
I tried to put them in and they seem HUGE compared to the wholes they are suppossed to go into. I know they are suppossed to go in and not come out, but this is nuts!!! Is there a trick to putting these in? I don't want to bust out the hammer.
Does anyone know the part number for these clips or is there a place I can look it up? I think the guy might have sold me the wrong ones because I seriously doubt these will fit.
Thanks for the help on this stupid question!

i don't know the part number, but i know for a fac that if they ar the right ones, you should be able to push them in with your finger, nothing more.
and i do believe that there are two diffrent sizes of those clips. could be wrong, i am playing off my memory here

Wow! Thanks for the part number ... mad props to you!
Those are the same ones that the guy sold me. I spoke with a couple people yesterday and they said something about two different sizes for the rear???
No worries though ... TM Engineering has a set waiting for me when I get to EOS! Sweet!

In all harware store (including chains like Home Depot, Lowes etc), in fasteners isle, there are typically yellow colored drawers full of speciality items (acorn nuts, nylon spacers etc). I have had better luck there than matching a part number at Lexus for these items.
