UBER-
this is a really easy install. pop all the little push in plastic clips off that liner on the underside of the trunklid. SAVE ALL OF THESE DO NOT BE FORCEFUL. IF YOU BREAK THEM YOU WILL WANNA KICK YOURSELF IN THE FACE LATER ON WHEN ITS TIME TO RE INSTALL. the liner will come right down after you do this. when the underside of the trunklid is exposed, you CANNOT miss the location of these lights. the bulbs PULL out and PUSH in. the sockets that hold the bulbs each need to be twisted left or right to take them out of the trunklid. you cant screw this up my dog helped me with my install its easy as knocking a fat kid out in dodgeball.

yeah- polargs for the trunk lights is the way to go...

the LED bulbs burn out too quickly and it's a PIA to get the inner trunk cover off to swap them out each time. I've had to swap mine already and I need to do it again. this time i'm going with the polargs. bought 3 sets for the long haul... i always buy stuff in bulk.

It took me 20 minutes to install them. The hardest part is taking those clips off. There are a total of 9 clips you have to remove. I used a screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers. Boy i hope those last a few years.

i just bought 2 packs of these M4s
gonna put 2 into licence plate area
and 2 into the wedge bulb in the inner front lights
(not the high beams but the wedge bulbs under the high beam bulbs)

when handling these M4's, do we need to avoid touching them with our bare hands and have to use gloves or paper to grab them?

I guess I would. The guy I got mines from supplied latex gloves with the bulbs I purchased.

Yes! Use latex gloves, you don't want to get oil from your fingers on the bulb.

looks like im more stupid than upstateGS4's dog
lol

i took off 8 clips for the trunk liner
but the emergency trunk exit lever is holding the surrounding liner on so i cant pull it down all the way

i now have access to the bulb harness on the right hand side but cant get it off to install the bulb

how do i get to the bulb? do i need to take the trunk handle bar off?
and do i need to disassemble the emergency trunk exit lever in order to swap the lights for the left side?

come on man! this is self explanatory. don't even sound like u even tried. u can't miss the sockets and wiring if u use comon sense and look in the back of the lid where you can obviously tell the lights r located from the front near the plate area. the sockets twist out n u throw the bulb in and reinstallation is the reverse of removal. if u don't get up in there and just try ur always gonna think everything is more complicated then it really is
