Hey guys I was looking for a power chip for my car and came across this http://www.thepartsbin.com/sitemap/l...mer~parts.html and wanted to know what you guys think about this part. How many of you would get it or think it's a waste of money?

 

It's not a power chip. It's an AFC that's used to control the air to fuel ratio. If you're stock, it wont do much for you. People usually use this with any mods that alters the A/F ratio.

Yea I know it's not a power chip that's why I titled it power programmer. So far I've done the air intake and plan to do exhaust and headers. Do you think this would be useful to me? How much better performance could I expect with this programmer?

What intake do you have? Instead of guessing if you should need it or not, get your car to a dyno shop and let them measure the A/F ratio of your car. Let the results determine if you really need an AFC or not. If you do need one, you'll need to redyno your car and have it tuned out. This could cost a bit over $100 for 2 sessions of dyno runs.

Or you can buy the AFC, hook it up but dont adjust anything, bring it to the dyno, and if it needs adjustments, adjust it. If it doesn't need any adjustments, return your AFC (providing you can).
