I was looking to add the wood steering wheel with the audio controls and change/upgrade the stock radio to a later one that would be able to use the controls. I have a 99gs400, the steering wheel would have to be a 01/with airbag correct? The later versions wont work due to the single and dual stage bags, correct?

How hard will it be to run the harness, it thats whats needed, to use the audio controls on the wheel with a upgraded radio? The radio would just be a later model lexus radio, navi or non navi which ever I can find.

the wheel has to be 01+ gs300, otherwise you lose the eshift.

and airbag has to be 01 rx300, that's the only one with the right connector from what i read

and all the harness and such for the audio control? i don't know.... i thought with thsoe control it has to be the ML system right? i am not sure if the pioneer system has it. if that's the case, that means you are changing the whole system? man, good luck.... that's speakers, amp, all harness, etc...

and that's if you can find the system WITHOUT nav, which i think is availble mostlyin 01
