Talking Yeah -- Got me a GS

Hi all! I just bought a 99 GS300 last month. I have been driving that thing almost none stop. Damn -- I am racking up the miles.

Oh ya...wanted to thank all those on the forum for all the input you have given to others in need. I only made a couple of changes to my GS since I got it...nothing major. I suppose wheels are next after I get past the payment shock.

Another thing, I highly recommend Emilio Shakenians @ Glendale Lexus service in Glendale. He was quick to fix all my concerns and gave me an RX as a loaner both times....(reason I stated this is because of all the gripe about some dealers service wasn't quite friendly). The sales team was average...although I did get 4 years of oil changes for free...sorta. <--knowing that nothing is truly free. I suppose I should have said 'included'. Free just sounds better

Thanks DieselMan63!

Its Silver/Grey...although I really wanted Silver/Black. I was impatient, the car just came off a lease with under 17000 miles. And the previous owner was approx. 80 years old << I spoke to him>>

I just had to buy it. As far as wheels go...I think I like the 18's better...but you never know.

Mods...hmmmm

Well, I really like my GS the way it is. When I decided on the GS I found all the priority features I wanted...luxury, performance and styling.

I do agree with most everyone here is that the wheels can go!!! I mean Toyota could have done a better job designing these wheels. Also, 16's are just a bit small, we are talking about a GS. If they came with 17's I might not consider changing them. However, since I do have 16's I might get 18's instead.

ECU/steering might be an option, however, I like to cruise and not race my car everwhere I go....although that is hard to do with the GS...hitting 80 is like a norm.

One thing i am still fudging with is getting those damn bulbs to match...low beam & parking lights. I bought PIAA bulbs but they don't even match up right. I wish these manufacturer would all give us the K degree of all their bulbs...that way it will be easy/easier to match them up. (lol, I guess it would be bad for business...I have more bulbs than I need trying to match them up.)
