That blue CF hood looks amazing.

Also, as far as VIP goes, havent you guys seen the JP kits in CF? We all know JP is "VIP" but the LS with the CF kit looks hot.

...but I agree to the "VIP" CF isnt what its all about. Your black car can get away with a CF hood though.

If you are using black CF I would imagine that the silver would not be able to be as thin and the CF wouldnt show through as much. I wouldnt do this on a lighter color car but definately on one of the darker colors.

did you have this done GSoup or is that a PS? My only concern with doing this in silver is that the paint would have to be thicker and the CF would become almost unseen.

GS, I've seen in on a Silver GS (not the one Soup posted) and unless you're doing something to the overall style of the car where the CF is going to match it or blend in, it just doesn't look right (IMHO)

From afar, just looks like we have water spots all over the hood. But I do agree and think that CF looks great on a darker car, I'm still up in the air about whether it should be on a GS though.

I know the HKS hood was about double that but it isnt oem, although the fit is great from what I hear. Which hood are you looking at?

$760 is way too much for a VIS hood. You can check around or even ebay as they go for $490-550. Install is easy too.

ok - found out that ViS has two different hoods for the GS available at the moment.. they have the older style CF threading that is $645 shipped to my door, and the newer CF threading that's what I'm gettin'.. that's why the price is significantly higher.. lol we'll see if there's a difference, I was told if I got the older hood it wouldn't match my DSR eyelids so we'll see.. should be here in a few days..
