Default just got my clear side markers

did a search and looks like you can install them either via the fog light or the covering near the wheel. can anyone tell me which one is easier?

thanks.

Through the fogs was much easier for me. It is tight in there but once you get the first one done the second is much easier

I put mine in by just pulling back some of the plastic in the wheel well to get to them and it was a very easy 15 min job. The foglight way is just a couple screws in the front and thats probably just as easy. Flip a coin to make your decision

I did mine through the fog light, and I think I was the first one done it this way and posting about it. Because I've done search here before installing mine, and everyone was referring to only one way through the wheel compartment. Anyway, the install was easy 10 min job.

Default Side Markers

I went through the foglights and found it to be really easy! The driver's side was a little more difficult if you have big hands, but nothing you can't manage! Good luck!

I wonder how many 2nd gen GS owners have the clear side markers. We should do a poll, the numbers would probably be pretty high.

I installed my clear lights back in 03 through the fogs and I got the how to from this site. Maybe it was lost when the site was upgraded but there was definately a how-to on this.

Maybe it was here before, but I could never find it when did the search. The only "how to" on this was through the wheel part.

I went in from the wheel well. It was too much like surgery, trying to work in a tiny space.

Foglights sound like the way to go, easy to remove and plenty of room to get your hand in.
