Default dumb question

With the srt intake installed if you have to take in your car for service, do you have to put the stock intake back on???

I think he means in terms of voiding the warranty and if that's true, it would likely depend on what service you're getting done. If the part you're servicing is related to the intake/ecu then yes I'd remove the intake but if you're getting your brake pads changed, I wouldn't bother.

Most dealers don't give a rat's about aftermarket intakes. However the SRT involves soldering new wires to the ecu and cutting a few....they might frown upon that. I think theres a law though that they can't void your warranty if the aftermarket part did not cause the damage. For example, if your suspension takes a dump, they can't void your cars warranty because you have a intake installed.

if you're taking it for a smog check (california), you better take it off or you'll fail the inspection.

dealers don't care.

I'm not too sure, but if you have an '01 your warranty might be up this year anyway. I have one and the Toyota dealership I go to for service has never mentioned anything about it, but then again I have a car that's a '99 so I'm not covered either way.

he called me few hour's later saying that my car is ready, i was like
