HOw's it goin. i just bought a 2000 GS300, black with light tan interior, platinum series, 20" wheels with Lexus centercaps. 102k and runs perfectly. i'm a mechanic and this car really looks and feels like it has 30k on it. Its total operation is silent. I"ve lurked the forums for a while and its good to finally "belong." Thanks again and i'll be posting more soon. let me know what you think. oh yea, i'm thinkin about lowering it, any suggestions?

Welcome aboard. Congrats on the purchase.

As for the lowering, tell us what the goal is and how much you want to spend.

I'm lookin for no more than 2 inches, my main concern is that i dont want to rub. Is it possible to lower it with the 20" wheels and not have it rub? i really dont want to roll the fender or anything like that. I"m lookin to spend around 500 for the drop. thanks again.

NIce ride and rims....There should be no problem with rubbing, if your offsets are right

WELCOME! You will enjoy the stay!

Welcome to CL...Dancheet.. as far as the lowering with 500 bucks might get you a nice set of springs... between the cost of the springs you can save yourself money on the install since you are a mechanic.. but you may get lucky and find some used coils out there between 500-800.. Good Luck bro.. the car looks great..

Welcome to CL, nice purchase. Watch the classifieds for lowering options. I picked up my coilovers there for just a little more than what you want to spend. Going with just new springs is also an option.

For $500 I personally would go with new s/s as opposed to very used coilovers

Oh yeah, welcome
