My car was sold as Certified Pre-Owned by Lexus and the title is clear. Between the two, I do not think the car was flooded. I don't think a Lexus dealership would cheat me that bad.But you never know...

Did you think you were getting a 430 and never checked the badge? lol, seriously, as someone said before, post a range of the time you're getting 0-60 and then you can get better help.

Try to reset the ECU either by the battery method mentioned above, or pull the ECU fuse. I have test driven 400's that feel really slow. Especially when they sit on the lot for months and months.

Congrats on the purchase. I hope you can fix the problem.

Also, is there something I can put in from Autozone or something to help (assuming it is not a mechanical issue). Thanks.
Did this just occur or was it like this from day one when you first drove it?

This might be a stupid question, but in order to get an accurate 0-60 time, should I floor it or should I drive normally?

It was not like this when I bought it initially. It started a few days ago.

Have you been filling with cheap 87 octane gas? If so, the onboard computer will retard the engine timing to eliminate engine knocking, therefore slow acceleration. Always get 91 or 93 (if availiable) octane from a good gas station...go the the top shelf stuff...Shell or Mobile and avoid quicky-mart gas.

FLOOR IT!!!!! Then you can compare your cars time with other GS3's

You're getting a lot of different questions because it can be any number of things. You said it's a CPO car so we are assuming that the maintenance is fine. You may not have a problem at all and just have a slow six cylinder that is begging you to swap the motor out so the car can have some fun.

Swapping out a motor is not an expense I can bear now If it's not a mechanical problem, then I'm happy. A slow, but mechanically functional Lexus is still 100 times better than a gas guzzling 1995 Honda Passport (my previous car).

So is the problem that you were expecting your GS3 to be ridiculously faster than your passport? Your ECU may have been reset when you first bought the car and now the car as setting into it's normal driving mode.

I didn't necessarily expect it to be ridiculously faster than the Passport, but I did hope that it would not be slower. The GS300 is faster once the car gets going, but the Passport was faster from stop.

That's really good point, or he just got used to it quickly so he feel like its slow now. I think my gs 400 is slow, at least not as fast as it used to be. Ask all FI guys, they say IT'S NEVER FAST ENOUGH.

If there is no CEL ON, thats the way it is with GS300 i guess

What's the gas octane you're using and where do you go for gasoline??? Let's eliminate that possibility.
