Arrow Ebay Help

Ok, its time to do my brake job. But my issue is this. I have been looking at Ebay for parts. Has anyone had any experience with buying rotors from Ebay? Any suggestions? I don’t know where to go. I only have a discount auto store where I live and there parts are all generic. I drive a GS4, 98 and I am new to the Lexus world. Please give me some ideas. Thanks.

No experience with eBay brake vendors, but tons of eBay experience. Educate yourself about brake parts. What's a good brand, what's a great brand? Are you upgrading or just replacing to stock? Check the vendors feedback and shipping costs. There are other online vendors for sources, Google "brake rotors". Check out the vendors here at CL, they are also a great source for a quality part and fit.

lexus-parts.com
l-tunedparts.com
Both are forum sponsors and will provide you the quality parts your car deserves. Not saying that there are not good deals to be found on ebay, but why risk it.

I bought some rotors a few years ago for my mustang... They where Zinc plated and came from a company called iRotors.. IMO i would go through tirerack.com or L-tunedparts.com.. At least then you know your getting a quality product.. Good Luck... I think Carson has the Rotora rotors for a good price..

I would stick with one of the big names when it comes to brake rotors. Brembo, Powerslot, Baer, Stoptech, Rotara and others. Those rotors have engineering behind it. The cheaper rotors are more prone to warping and cracking due to manufacturing. Get the name brand rotors from a reputable source

Thanks for the help. But searching threw all the threads, it seems that Brembo is popular, but they warp like crazy. Is that true? I don’t drive like it’s a race car. I am not very hard on the car. And now for the pads, which one's?

Rotoras have been great for me. I had a set on my ES and when I got my GS it was my first mod. Carson took care of me on the cheap.

Ebay is not bad, however there are more and more scams on ebay these days. Just check out there feedback history. I got cheated 2 times on ebay and there both have over 400+ feedbacks.

As far as pads go, you don't want a racing pad since you will be driving a lot on the streets. Racing pads will perform poorly in everyday driving since they require a lot of heat in the pads to be effective.
