Basically, I took the black mounts out of the bowl and stuck it to the projector. I still get the horz/vert adjustment. The only thing I lose is the leveler liquid thingy. But then again, I'm aiming it slightly down to the ground. Basically I did everything HIDplanet led me to.

Also, about those HID bulbs. If they are brand new I think there is a 100hrs or so break in period. The lights will be very yellow when you first install it. Then after a while it will whiten out. If they are used bulbs, then carry on.

The bulbs I had in there were the stock D2R bulbs. I modified it to fit my projectors. Even before the retro, they were still kind of yellow on the ground. The new bulbs definitely is yellow. The sad part is, I rarely drive at night. I guess I'll turn these on all day (DRL? ) until it gets to the 100hr mark. I'm excited

BTW, lets see your setup! I could learn a few things from it. Might give me the motivations to redo mine eventually.

I just finished my retrofit last night. Does anyone think it looks weird? It looks like my cars have eyes. lol.

I didn't make a shroud because halfway, I was too tired and I wanted to give this a try. For the bezel, I went out to Ace hardware store and got some plumbing flanges. Home depot and lowes didnt' have this.

My angle rotation is a bit off, but it's driveable. I'll probably fix it later one when I have motivation, say 5 years from now jk

It takes some time to get use to it, but I was more concern about light output than the way it looks on my car. I know it looks nothing close or good as some of the Q45 retros on here, but I'm faily happy.

EDIT- I'll try to take better pictures.
EDIT #2: new pics;

Is your car silver? I remember seeing a lowered GS400 right when i was entering the plaza

Quad HID. Bi-xenon projector in main housing and 6000k HID Foglights

Pic of the lights on, but close up.

Pic of the car from the front

Zoomed in picture of the projector.

Some pix of the HID setup. This is before I did the complete HID rebuild. Currently it still looks about the same. Only difference is the amber piece is cleared out and the projector axis has been re-aligned. I also rebuilt two wiring harnesses and hid everything under the headlights behind the bumper. If someone was to pop the hood, everything would look stock. No wires or ballast are visible. Looks 100% OEM

I'll try to get some better or daytime pix of the projector unit close up.

Your car is a head-turner. Actually, most of the lowered GS are head turners. It looks just that great even with lowering
