Default how to remove exhaust tips?

How do you guys remove the factory chrome exhaust tips? I know that they are not welded or anything, but they do seem to be stuck on there pretty good. Any shortcuts to removing them besides a muffler shop?

When I replaced my OEM tips with the Borla units the original ones were badly seized on. To remedy this, I took out my dremel with a cutting wheel and just cut a straight line down the length of it. From there a little pressure from a flat head screw driver and it was history. It took no more than 5 minutes. I think that was a lot less painless than a rust penetrant and a hammer trying to knock pound it out...

I wonder if you could grab it with an oil filter wrench or a strap wrench and give it a good tug.

thanks for the fast replies I just did the hammer and screwdriver and a a bit of banging along with the WD-40...and then got a BIGGER hammer...then off they came.

BTW...the toyota camry came with a TRD kit from factory with the Borla tips (except they don't say Borla). You can actually order the tips from Toyota at a pretty decent price (actually if you get a discount...say cost plus 20%... they are around $34.00 each) . You can get the ones for a v6 camry (inside diameter a little bigger) or the 4cylinder (smaller diameter inside). I used the 4cyl tip which is quite a snug fit just like the factory lexus tips(No clamp needed...but I put one on there anyway). Only thing I did was grind down the little stops that hold the factory tips from moving backwards. No rattling, shakes and looks great. Just thought I would let u guys know.
