I have been seriously looking at buying a new car and it is being narrowed down between the Lexus, audi, and BMW.
I am from ohio and am somewhat concerned about the handling of the lexus. can anyone from the north give me some help with how well the lexus handles in bad weather.
The Audi is tempting with the quattro system.
The other question about the lexus is what has been some of the deals obtained on the GS4 with lev/nav,spoiler.
THanks in advance

Go with the Audi Quattro, if handling is a big issue for you.

I went from a front-wheel-drive ES300 to the rear-wheel-drive GS300, and I REALLY missed the FWD in the snow. I grew up in PA, so I learned how to drive in bad weather, but I had no luck driving the GS3 even in a light snowfall in DC. I read on this message board that the traction can be enhanced with lots of ballast in the trunk, but never tested the theory.

If handling is important to you, don't go with any rear-wheel-drive car!!!!

madd,

for gs430, new w/nav+ml, 17" chrome and spoiler(msrp $56200), the price is ~$50500+taxes and fees here in LA at my friend's dealership.

we had a veteran member from cinncinati area who praised his 00 gs400 and never had any handling issue. he even l-tuned(lowered), and put on 18s with re730 performance tyres. too bad he rarely visit us now.

audi qtro is nice for snow, but i am uncertain about its reliablity issue. imho, bmws are too much $$$ for too small car(not just size).

if you cannot find good deal in ohio for the gs, let me know by PM me below. one can always be shipped to you.
