Default finally got pulled over for no front license plate

yep finally happened its was a good coouple of months but i knew my luck would run out sooner or later.

happened right in my own neighborhood too...

i got pulled over for no front license plate, obscured rear plate, and he checked my tags.

right when i saw the lights i rolled all my windows down knowing my tint is like 11%... he didnt check for that

thing about cops in my neighborhood is that they pull people over all the time BUT are nice enough to give warnings instead of citations.

well this afternoon i figured out a way to mount my plate without drilling any holes!!

pix of my mount:

i basically lined the back of the plate with black carpet i got from lowes. got some right angle hinges and mounted that to the plate. got some easy removable string and tied down the plate to the frame

LOL - so I am guessing you didn't get a ticket?? Those front plates suck - thankfully we don't have to have them

my 2c:

Turn the bolts the other way. They look like insect antennas. They might cause a snag or bust your shins.

Also paint the clamps. Start by matching white/pearl or black.

I think if he turned them around...it wouldn't work and it would hit the bumper. He could always rivet the plate to the bracket though....

Hey I am going on 1 1/2 years without my local PD noticing. Got pulled over for expired tags (which was my fault, forgot to put the sticker on the plate when it came in. Even then I was driving around 1 whole year before being pulled over). But I like your hookup on the plate, I might have to do that if I ever get caught. But hopefully with other matters that have the police attention they will not bother me.

At least get out the Dremmel and hack them flush with the nuts. You could probably hit the hardware store and get some stainless steel acorn nuts. That would have a nice loot to it.
I hate having a front plate on, but I hate the hassle of getting pulled over even more. The worst is coming back from a night out and finding a no plate ticket on your windshield from the friggin meter maid!
