Does anyone have pics of the shark fin antenna installed on the 2nd gen GS? I did a search to see if anyone has thus far but I wasnt able to pull up any pictures on the 2nd gen. Would anyone laugh if I did? The antenna will not be functional because I definitely am not going to drill a hole in the roof plus I dont even have satellite radio. I dont want to get the cheap one from Ebay so I was thinking of just tearing one off a BMW. I wonder how much it would cost to have it painted. I was just kidding about ripping it off the BMW btw.
I have a dent from a tree limb or golfball or something dead center in the back of my roof and was thinking about this exact cover up (repair was quoted at $1000) because of having to remove rear glass etc. I also like the look of the JP one, but $120 for a non functioning antenna is a little tough to swallow. Easier than $1000, but I'd like to see the fin also.
I have to ask.........Why would someone want a non-functional antenna on your car??? Reminds me of 1986 when people were putting fake car phone antenna's on their cars. Not being a jerk...just curious why.

My mom had a BMW 745 and I thought the antenna really set the car off. Just wondering how it would look on the GS. I might make the antenna functional one day but not for now.
I considered doing this one somewhere down the line when i was doing my mac mini carputer... i was gonna get it painted black onyx to match the body...
Roof mount antenna for GPS, Multi band (AMPS, GSM 900, GSM 1800, UMTS) and Wireless LAN for car navigation, traffic guidance systems, fleet management...and its only $74.95...
That is pretty ugly imho. I want something with an overall lower profile than that. But that is a pretty hopped up antenna. Do they mention the decibel gain for WLAN's? I wardrive for fun in my spare time
