I'm getting 19's (Kreuzer Series V, thanks for the help with that decision) for my GS430 this weekend (I'll finally post pics after I do) and I'm thinking I'll need new brakes afterwards to keep the setup from looking bad. I tried Stillen as I was interested in the 6 piston braking system (Thanks Manaray) but they tell me they don't make this system for the GS430 yet. Anybody have any suggestions on a good and nice looking aftermarket brake system. As always I'm gonna thank everyone in advance for replies. Don't know what a guy/girl would do without such a great community for advice.

Default Pretty Penny

I orginally stumbled across them while searching for AVS rims. I found them at www.WheelOptions.com. Turns out that the site actually belongs to a Discount Tire Center in El Monte right near Longo Lexus. I'm paying $695/each for the Front (19x9) and $715/each for the rear (19x10). I'm also going to have to pay to have them shipped up to Boise as they are going to order them for me (They only have one set right now which somebody already bought.) I'm looking everywhere right now and can't find the guys name that I spoke with. I'm purchasing them Friday and will reply with the name of the guy who helps me. Hey, I haven't decided what tires I'm gonna put on, any recommendations??

Default WheelOptions

I'm actually not too sure about them being affiliated with Discount Tire though. When I check Discount Tire store locations nothing comes up at that address. Who knows though...

J,

thanks for the info.

i know the place and which guy you talked to. have you compared the prices w/dave at gtautosports? he beat several prices on many of my friends wheels. though it takes time for him to respond to your request. as a reference, dave gace very good pirces on volks and many other wheels, incuding yokohamas.

for tyres in 19s, i recommend toyos t1-s. if you want to save some $$$, check out kumhos.

you need: 245/35/19 f, 275/30/19r

Yah they are. Discount Tire Centers and Discount Tires Direct gets confused sometime.

Is the guy you talked to kinda pale, about 5"7, glasses, and first name starts with "V"?

I believe Manaray was suggesting to you the AP Racing 6 piston system from Stillen. These are available, both manaray and I have them. The kit was created for the Supras, but the kit will fit if you have GS specific brake lines (different lengths than the Supra). The AP is a good system, but for the street, I believe the Brembo 4 pistons are sufficient. There are also more dealers for the Brembo, including Steve Ganz, so you can get a better price for the kit and also replacement parts.

Also note that different dealers may have slightly different kits. They may buy the calipers and/or rotors, etc and build their own kits.

Good luck.

Does the guy have a strange accent, or at least speaks a little weird. If that's who your talking about then ya, that's him. I also mailed GTAutosports for a price on the rims, if he can get them for less, then that's where I'll order from. Does anybody have the LSportline brakes, or are they not worth the money spent???

l-sportsline breaks, imho, are not worth the money. i would either get the $700 supra tt pkg-best bang for your buck, or opt for either AP, or brembo pkg to really get the best.

J, the break upgrade will look soooo sweeet with your open spoke new wheels. and you would need them too because the 19s will make stock break appeared even smaller.

Default Supra TT & Brembo

Who do you recommend getting the SupraTT or Brembo brakes from?? Your thinking the same thing I am with the large open space I'll have after the wheels are on. It was actually Manaray who pointed out that I would want to get bigger brakes (thanks ray). Thanks for the brake advice guys...

J,

steve ganz, aka supratrd on board, 1800-908-6968x 2381.

keep in mind, when you talk to dave, be sure to mention to him that you might be getting the SUPRA tt break, so you need supra tt wheel offset for the wheels that you like.

Default WOW!!

Man, that site: www.WheelOptions.com, has an AWESOME rim.. The Dronell M05. Super-clean looking, polished lip, and it's edge-to-edge on the inside (makes it look big). Got a price on a set.. 4 wheels 19x8.5 with Yokohama AVS tires, $2790. Not bad for a forged (tough, as opposed to a cast) rim.
