mods can you keep this here for a day please

I remember seeing someone had installed an aftermarket headunit and moved the climate controls, having the headunit on top and the controls on the bottom...

I have searched and nothing came up, does anyone know who it was.

can anyone provide pics? or info on how to do it?
I am getting ready to install my eclipse avn 5500 and I wanted to mount the unit on top, and the controls under..

 

I think it was Dave and his engineering buddy. I stumbled upon the same thread you speak of one day. I think besides lowering it they had to shave a bit off the sides. gl

I did a search for "relocate climate" and came up with this.

Thanks for the link... I dont think this is going to work for me, I purchased the double din dash kit from carsons... I read up on that link that you posted in order for it to work the bezel for the headunit would have to be made a little bigger to fit up there..
