Unhappy

I had my 5,000 free service last week and told the dealer the compass stopped working, but once I restarted the car it was okay. They couldn't find any thing wrong with it. Today all it would read was SW until the last 1/2 hour and than it switched to C. I assume that stands for compass, when I got home I restarted the car thinking it might reset it self, but it still reads C. Any one else have this problem.

It needs to be reset.

One way shown in the manual that worked for me is to drive a route making only right turns until you've made a complete circle. If that doesn't do it look in your manual. It shows other options that you can try.

Thanks I will try that tonight. I really hate going back to the dealer. The main reason I switched from BMW to Lexus was so I wouldn't have to be constantly going back to the dealer.

Someone needs to set you in the right direction.

Tonight I learned another thing from ClubLexus. Thanks, RealMarty for the info.

I was going to state the problem that my compass went south ( broke ), but it actually went south west.
