Looks good! Let me know how you like the AVN 5435. I've been trying to decide between that one and the Pioneer AVIC-D1. You can PM me. Good luck on your install.

Great deck. I just installed it in my wife's car. If you need some help, let me know. What dash kit did you go with? I bought the factory one from Carson Toyota. It matches the climate controls perfect.

I went with the American International kit. It's made entirely of ABS black plastic and the faceplate is textured. Kinda of flimsy and off color but can't expect much out of a $9 kit. After the install if I'm not satisfied, I'll check out the one from Carson. Do you have any pics of the install?

here's my 5435 installed on the same kit jtgs400 got.

It's a bit off but not too much. I had ordred the jdm dash kit but cancelled since it was about 3 weeks wait. So i just bought this for 9 bucks for now.

Did you use the plastic brackets that it came with or did you try retrofitting the stock medal brackets to the faceplate? Seems like it'll fall apart in the dash being all plastic.

I got mine through ebay, which I want to note, is only warrantied through the seller. I believe it's 90 days. The only online authorize dealer is Crutchfield and they have it for $1700. Of course you get the full warranty though.

Yea i used the plastic brackets that came with it. It fits pretty tight. I wiggled it after installing and it wasnt moving.

I was looking at the factory metal bracket but i dunno how it'll mount with the new faceplate attached.
