Default general question regarding 2JT-GTE

i have a question regarding engine with model code 2JT-GTE. i'd like to know where this engine came from(which car). from my understanding, it is a 3.0L twin turbo.. but that's all i know

You might have better luck looking for 2JZ-GTE.

They came in the Supra TT and the Aristo TT in Japan.

Right there are 3 versions of the 2JZ-GTE engine. The us spec TT that came in the supra 93-97 I think , than there are 2 J-spec version off the TT motor with one being the non vvt-i TT found in the 1st gen aristo v300 over sees and than the vvt-i TT found in the 2nd gen Aristo v300 over sees.

Differences I have read is that the j-spec turbos are rated at 280rwhp stock and the us spec is rated at 300rwhp. The us spec turbos are a little bigger while the j-spec ones spool up faster.

Do serches here for TT aristo or Aristo swap and you'll find some pretty good info or try supraforums for more info in the us spec TT motor. Good luck
