Default Wind Noise 99 GS300

I have enjoyed "lurking in the shadows" here on the CL forum for several months now learning as much as I can.

Although I am enjoying my car I do have one thing that is really annoying. When I roll my drivers side window down and then roll it back up I get this bad wind noise coming through the upper left hand side of the drivers window. I can roll the window down slightly to get rid of the noise.... but I'd like to get it fixed.

Anybody have any ideas?

BTW, I did a search and found a couple things but not quite what i was looking for.

I had the same problem last year. It is the weather stripping around the door. It tears slightly over time. Check the upper left corner of the door frame. check to see if it is slightly ripped.. Crazy glue it back in place, and the noise will be gone.

Just a thought. You might also want to check the undercarriage plugs. Do a search and you'll see what I'm talking about. Basically, if the plugs fall out, the wind enters from the underside of the car and travels up through the a-pillars and sounds like it's coming from the window when it's really not.

Thanks for the quick responses. I did check the plugs before when I was doing some research and found that some were missing. I will get them replaced and check the weatherstripping.

Thanks again for the help!
