Can someone tell me the blue metallic GS have the option for black leather or did it only come in tan? Also what year did they stop making that color?

 

only a few of them came with a black interior, and there are some with grey interior too, but they are very hard to find. I think the last year they were made was for 2000 or 99 not sure though

 

I believe the last year of "spectra" blue was 2000 . That blue color w/ black int is the best color combo IMO. I wanted to get that but my dealer said it was a 4 month wait !

 

Yup 2000 was the last year of Spectra Blue on the GS.. I also think the Black interior looks the best with that colour but I am biased since that is the way I ordered mine back in '99.. It took approx. 3.5 months to get from the time I placed my order but at least I know that only 3 were sold in all of Canada in that colour combo for 2000..

Diesel have you seen that new blue for this year yet??

 

2SAVVY, I believe so. I saw a blue GS with the new taillights and so I assumed its the 2001 model. Its just not the same electrifying blue as the previous model . Boy would I like to trade places with you.

The blue is nice but it really is a high maintenance colour.. Finally got my Zaino package and when I find the time I can't wait to try this stuff out.. I'm still kicking myself for not getting the front end protected with that 3M film for the hood and bumper.. The bra masks it pretty well but I still know what it looks like underneth and it bugs me to no end..

As for envy I envy you with the TV's and the playstation.. Would love to see the face of my clients when I take them out and I have TV's in my headrests.. That is too cool.. I was a competitive IASCA member about 7 years ago and I have so much stereo equipment (Fosgate, PPI, MB Quart, Sony) here at the house but am afraid to start because I won't know when to stop..

As for the new Blue I haven't seen it yet but I do think it is really dark compared to the Spectra.. That colour is better suited to the IS so I understand why they discontinued it on the GS..

 

2SAVVY, you should probably sell your equipment on here. I am sure plenty of people are looking for stereo stuff on here .

As for the TV's, I might take them off. Cuz over here, having tv's out in the open where everyone can see it, spells "carjack me" all over my ride. I might sell it soon.

Also, do you know why there was such a long waiting period for your color combo? Was it in low production or was it in high demand? Many people like the blue, but yet I don't see too many around
