Default Update??

Hey guys was just wondering how things were going with the Weapon R Intake and ECU project for the GS4??

I just ordered the Borla Exhaust for the GS and if the Weapon R Intake is what you all say it is then I would love to get one..

Sasha have you tried Borderfree.com for getting items from the US and knowing what it actually costs before it gets to you.. I ordered the Borla exhaust from Summit using Borderfree.. Haven't got the exhaust yet since they are backordered but i'll let you know how it worked out..

y2kgs,

Please drop us all an update when you can.. Thanks!!

Hi All!

Here is the latest of what I have heard...

The Weapon R intake is for sale. The GS400 and IS300 is ready right now. The GS430 and SC430 will be available next week. The GS300 might be done in the same time frame. A lot of info is at www.weapon-r.com under Lexus tuning...

Try contacting slgs4@yahoo.com for more details. Don't want to post any more info lest I be misconstrued as advertising for another vendor other than SRT. Sorry MKilty please don't ban me...

Brent,
I looked at the weapon-r site, I was wondering if you knew anything about the set-up that Y2KGS was mentioning. He reported more HP gain than what is being quoted on the Weapon-R site. Is this gonna be something that we will have to get from him? or will Weapon R be producing this later. BTW the price is kinda high, not what I was thinking when he first was talking about the product.

Yeah, $1000 for intake/ecu is expansive. I'd buy it if it were 500 bucks.

Correct me if I'm wrong, for package 2, exhausts with ECU costs $1500? Does it include package 1? If not, IMO, it's bit pricy.

Yeah, I think they are still finishing up the final touches on the ECU tuning part. Last he posted, it was true that HP was higher but I think they are going for more torque. If you look at the torque it is quite significant! An additional 30ft-lb of torque is way more beneficial than more HP. In this case the tradeoff is better off-the-line acceleration which is what I think he was trying to say in terms of increased performance....Looks like Tundra numbers in terms of the new torque increase...That will be a good kick in the pants. Best thing to do is E-mail him for more details on what he has experienced ...
