I left my house around 20 mins ago, I was driving down the road hit a small bump and heard a loud bang coming from the drivers side tire, so I pulled over right away, popped my hood, checked my teins, the bolt in the middle is completely loose, I can turn it by hand, I went to close the hood and it wont close at all. it goes down but wont lock, drove the car home really slow, I still can't get the hood to lock, is this a known problem??

 

ok... nevermind, I tightened the bolt on the coilover, till the whole thing started to turn, and I finally got the hood closed, it took 2 people, I'll just take the car to the shop tomorrow to see if they can tighten up the coilovers some more.

 

that bolt is only supposed to be at 20 ft lbs.... and the hood is probably your cable.

 

how would I be able to find out how tight 20 ft lb is?
