Default News MODS! Pretty much done!

Well, since I purchased my car back in 2/2003. I can finally say the car is at a point where I am happy with it. Only thing left is to wait on whether to get the LuxuryMod or JP taillights.

Before I list my latest mods...I would first like to thank Robert (aka {-.-}) for getting me the window visor and the mercedes style blinker lights! woohoo!!

Second a BIG thanks to my bodyshop guy Joe at BACKYARD CREATIONS! I can't say enough how awesome Joe is and his work/service is a testament to this! I was planning to take pics over the weekend, since it gets dark by the time I get home from work, but I couldn't wait.

MOD 1. Redid my Q45 retro and E46 projector inner light. I had some problems with my old Q45 retro set, so I purchased some new HID lights on ebay and had Joe redo the whole thing. Rather than just gluing the HID to the bad of the housing...Joe made brackets for the Q45 so these suckers are not going anywhere. He also made it so that he only had to cut a very small piece on the back of the signal lights to fit the Q45. The quality is superb.

Here is a pic of mod #1 OF 3:

MOD #2: Mercedes style blinkers. Most of you have probably seen these blinker covers. Rather than just covering the OEM or molding the cover onto the OEM mirrors...Joe cut the light out of the covers and molded it into the OEM mirrors. This eliminated the "thick" look. i think if Lexus had come out with side blinkers, it would've looked like this.

Here are the pics:

MOD #3. Final mod. Not sure if anyone else has this. I never really liked the OEM style wing...it wasn't clean enough for me...always liked the SportDesign lip. I knew by law I would have to add a third brake light, but which one. Oh me, oh my....hmmmm...Joe suggested the Supra third brake light. BINGO! I love how my rear looks now.

Well that's all. Again I'd like to thank Robert and Joe for helping me complete my vision of how I want my car to look like. I will get more pics up of the whole car over the weekend.

PS...My first compliment...I was stopped at a light, looked over the car next to me and there was some lady in her 40s-50s and she mouthed something so I rolled down my windows...and she said "Your car is beautiful" as she was being honked from behind. heheh

PSS..if anyone wants anymore info on the parts or the bodyshop...feel free to PM me.

That is sweet. How much did it cost to do the mirrors? As for the bracket, is it the same as the one Soaristo made? In either case, is it reproducable?

Forgot to mention if anyone wants pricing on the labor...Joe said it would be okay to use his phone #626.922.3434. Just tell him that Richard (white GS) referred him.

The cost was...well...let's just say HIGH! (just think JP lights price)

Sorry, not sure about the bracket and/or whether it's reproducable. Your best bet is to call Joe up....his # is a couple posts up.

Thanks for the compliment.
