Wow that sounds great.. Thanks for your help I think I'm going to get it now. I just wasn't sure how much better it was than stock but it sounds like its much better. I'd rather have a great ML stock system then spend a lot of money on aftermarket suff. Thanks for you help..

It's one the better sounding factory systems I've listened to. Only one better so far, that was a GM Bose system that was in the wife's old car. That was an awesome system, not a thumper but every note was crystal clear.

It is definitely the best factory audio system (as tested on the LS, but all models should be very similar). Sure you can get louder and more bass w/ aftermarket, but this is simply such a sweet sounding system, the clarity and extremely low total harmonic distortion is fantastic. Don't know how the 2nd gen GS ML compares w/ the 3rd gen GS ML (has more wattage, speakers & is DD 5.1) or Acura's Bose DD 5.1 though.

I love my ML sound system. It's the best OEM sound system i've ever heard in a car. Too bad i had to pay almost $600 to get a new amp b/c it was just out of warranty.

I tested out the surround sound on the new GS @ the Taste of Lexus & it BLEW ME AWAY!

It is nice, but most of the quality comes from the amp. The speakers themselves aren't much nicer than you'd find in other high-end stock systems.

I'm planning speaker upgrades and a dedicated sub woofer amp.

Yeah I dont really want this loud big bass system. I want a nice high quality clear system and the ML system sounds like what I'm looking for. Thanks a lot for your help.

Thank you everyone for all your help. I am almost positive that I'm getting the ML system in my new IS350.. I'll just have to hear it for myself to set it in stone. Thank you again.

everyone who has heard the ML system on the new GS and IS (with real cd or music) are completely blown away by the system, so just get yourself ready and bring a cd of your choice!
