Thanks for the nice explanation bitkahuna.

Dex - sounds like we're building up enough folks for that NC mini-meet.

That bridge on 485 is much fun, but I'm always concerned if you lost it and popped over the barrier, you'd have a 100 foot drop down onto I-77 where you'd get hit by a speeding semi. Of course that doesn't stop me from punching it : ).

Other favorite turns:

1) Coming down 85 south take the ramp onto I77 S. Nice connector with a sharp turn.

2) Going into the airport connector off Billy Graham coming from I85. Nice sweeping turn.

3) Leaving the airport getting back onto Billy Graham headed towards 85 (can you tell where I drive all the time?). This turn is very sharp and drops from 55mph limit right into 25 MPH steep turn. Sometimes I can sucker somebody tailgating me (especially love doing this to SUVs) into the turn at about 65. I swear a Suburban went offroading one evening doing that to me.

I agree with RealMarty: the car is more responsive if you mash the pedal "ALMOST" all the way to the floor. When the car tries to downshift two gears, it definitely hesitates. If it's only one, then it feels more responsive. Maybe something with that Adaptive Driving Computer!

Default Hey DaveGS4

Shoot me your email; I can't grab it here from the board...

'disabled my administrator'

and we can try to coordinate a get together maybe next weekend (20th), or after we scout out a few others in the Metrolina area.

Getting the tint done Sat morn; probably 'black', the girls I spoke to said the 'gray' has a slight reflective quality, and not sure if I'll like it...

the tint law is actually State specific, not county or city, at least here in NC; see:

http://www.pcisys.net/~bpc/auto_law/tint/tint_nc.html

the girl told me 35% I thnk, and the file is 32 or 33 to allow for the additional factory tint in the glass already

as far as GSs in NC, I'm going to do some research to see if there is already a group, or if I can coordinate one based here in Charlotte.

Good Day

yeah that is exactly what the girl at FormulaOne said. She was like "well you can technically get something a lot darker, and we can techically do it, but its up to you to pass the examination.....if you have a friend that can hook you up, the we can go ahead and do it."

After hearing that, i have been trying to find a "friend" but im struggling right now

But about the club....i know one club thats is strickly Lexus....the son of the owner of Johnson Lexus of Raleigh created it....he used to go to my school, and he asked if i wanted to join.....but its really new so its not known by anyone.

But other than that i have not seen a club with a Lexus in it.. Over here in the Triangle, the biggest clubs are Fast As Knuts ( hehe, i always smirk when i say that or see it for some reason ) and Fantasm .

Well if you find a club let me know....i wouldnt mind driving over there every now and then too chill.

Dex - let me know how the tinting goes, that's on my list to do soon.

I'm getting l-tuned skirts and grill, steering ECU and new badging on mine this Saturday. A little makeover.

I'll shoot you an email as well.

David

Default Damn!

Who's doing all that for you? Hendrick?

I'll post results about the tint here, thought I imagine it'll be milky for about a week; at least it was the last time i had it done.

BUT....I hate the fact that it takes like 3 seconds for the car to really fly after I floor it. I don't like that, when I am not flooring, it responds quickly, but for some reason, it seems like when I floor it, the car thinks, "oh man, now I have to run as fast as I can, shewww, here we go....blast!" It seems as if the car maybe "prepares itself for the extreme power, and when I am just pressing the pedal only a little to get a little acceleration, it doesn't take its time to prepare itself because it knows it only has to do so much.

Do you guys get what I am talking about?
I have a GS430 and it kind of feels like Turbo Lag. I told the dealer about this when I brought my car in Monday for the 10,000 mile check up and painting my Spoiler for paint coming off. Still do not have the car back yet maybe their is something they are not telling use. Maybe a hidden recall they are fixing for me. They gave me a IS300 as a loaner so I can't complain to much.
