pwr setting for transmission
#1
I drove my sc around with the pwr button off and was quite frustrated with the performance. Althought I understand it is in economy mode, I can't imagine driving with the pwr button off at any time. IMHO, the way the tranny performs with the pwr mode on should be the default!
Are there any longevity/wear issues with driving in the pwr mode all the time? I imagine this would cause the transmission to hold on to gears longer and downshift sooner. Will this require more frequent tranny fluid changes?

I always drive in pwr mode. If that's the way you like it do it!

Not really. You'll turn higher rpms more frequently than in normal mode, but not enough to make a significant difference. You should be fine if you change both oil and trans fluid as the manual suggests.
And BTW, if it causes a minor amount of additional wear what would you rather do -- enjoy the car or get 5,000 more boring miles from it?
