Default APP Sensor question

Is this part coverred in the power train waranty? Would the fact that I have a Injen Intake system on my car void the power train warranty? I read that the part is $69 at Carsons but if it's under warranty I would love to get it replaced for free. Also can a shop other than a dealer install it if I have to get it from Carsons?

Accelerator Pedal Position sensor. A few members were having driveability issues with their GS430s and it seems that at least on two cases (me included), the APP was the culprit. If you have a GS430, the quoted thread above is a "must read".

Did you get that part?
I got quoted for that part $144 7801030030-PEDAL ASSY, ACCELERA
and $64 for 8945230150-SENSOR, THROTTLE POS

Let me know what did you end up doing.

Thanks
