Default Warning lights coming on randomly!! Help

Hey all. I have a 99 GS400

While driving in traffic this has happened to me 2x. I am driving normal and all of the sudden the engine light comes on and the word check right below it. At the same time I have the VSC light and the VSC off lights come on. They are on right now, there are no differences in performance or acceleration, etc....

The last time they came on I made it to my house and in the morning they did not come back on.... Any ideas or suggestions??

I am not sure if the code scan tool at Autozone will hook up to the lexus, but its free... Get the codes out and look'em up at techinfo.toyota.com.

I had the same symptoms when there was an alternator issue (voltage regulator on aftermarket alternator was overcharging in my case)

Yes, it will work. An OBDII scanner will scan any car that uses OBDII.

Dave could be right.

I will go to the Auto Zone tomorrow to see what I can find out. Do I use it myself or ask somebody there?

Mods: - I had the L-Tuned Springs and shocks installed almost 3 months ago, could that be it. It happened about 2 weeks ago and then again today.

Update - I just drove the car and all the lights are out now!!! Almost like a sensor wire is loose or something.... But as of now - none of the 3 lights are on. But I am heading to Sacramento Monday morning for 2 weeks and driving so I still am planning on checking it out. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the input so far everybody!!!
