Default Six months later!!!!! Picture...

After 6 months of looking I finally found the one I was looking for at the right price. Its a 1998 GS400 with NAV and 88K. I drove it back from Chicago to Vegas. I was very surprised that I got 25mpg. Must have been because of the long flat stretches in Kansas. What a car!!

Hello,
Very nice car. What did you pay? I am in Chicago, and was just wondering.
Thank-you

Congrats man - perfect car to wait for. I waited 6 years until I got the GS and it was the bext purchase I ever made.

Good Luck,

Very cool. We ought to get together so you can tell me how to take care of the paint in this heat.

Hi David - I paid 15.4K. Would probably be a little much for one without the NAV but with the NAV I thought it was worth it. So far I still think so.

LOL!! No mods for me for a while. I've got to first learn how to wax this thing such that I don't ruin the paint. I've also got to start getting ready to replace the timing belt and water pump - I'll be replacing those myself.

Once that stuff's done I'll probably look into upgrading the torque converter as my first mod.

Congrats dude!!!

Btw....the 2 slats up front...did u paint them silver? Looks interesting. You should get the DSR slatted grill...its comes in black if new...and have the center slats painted silver too....that would look hot!!!
