Default WAY too much

That is a very high price for the car. I work at a used dealer and I have a 99 GS400 red on tan with 97K on it and I am only asking 14,900. Bigger dealers have a bigger overhead and they have to jack up the prices on their cars more than little guys like us.

paid about 15K for a 99 GS4 last year with 99K all options driven by a 103 year old man(+/- 15 years) . The car was dreaming of going 80mph so I had to get her. Purchased to help the car, the fact it was mint, garaged, new tires and Lexus maintained was just bonus.

Just curious, why did your car need timing belt, water pump, cam/crank seals and alternator with only 67k miles?

cuz it was 6.5 years old and i always maintain my cars and am picky about service and taking care of them,,,,,,,,you dont have to wait til 90k miles to do it,,,,,,,,coming from a car background i looked at the belts and judged that it was best that i go ahead and get it knocked out, and i just dont do the little stuff, i go ahead and do it right crankshaft seal and cam seals while im at it,,,,,a little tip if you dont know,,,,,,,always look at your belts to make sure they are not beginning to crack or dont know how to spell the word "frey" or something like that,,,,,,,,most rubber products have oil in them and eventually they will dry out just like your tires,,,,,,,hope this helped with your question, i never wait til 90k to do belts, thats why i never have any problems out of my vehicles, preventive maintenance is a very good thing,,,,,my sequoia has 60k on it and i will get that done prob around 70-75k miles

oh yeah and for your alternator question, my stereo system messed up the factory one so i had to get a new one,,,,,,,,,,my 2 jl amps were drawing 150 amps of current at peak, and it didnt take long for them to wear out the 6.5 year old alternator, i went back with a performance alternator so i wouldnt run into that again

That price is way too high. First year model with over 90K miles I would pay 15K tops and try a little lower. You could get into a 2000 with less miles at 19-20K. I would look for well maintained 99's with less miles for around 16-17K. Good Luck.

When I get a GS400 I want it to have at least under 80k miles, and try to find around $13,000 or less. I just can't see paying over that amount for a car with close to 100,000 miles.

It sucks, finding a good one - but once you do, I'm sure its a good thing....at least until it snows
My car has 92K right now and the car and especially the engine feels and sounds brand new and better than any car I have ever owned.

I would say my 99 Maxima SE was the tightest brand new of all my vehicles and with 92,000 the GS beats it hands down.

The engine is a 6 bolt main, tight, and supposedly strong to over 200K miles with regular recommended services.

Any CLEAN WELL KEPT GS under 100K miles is a bargin if you can find one under $20K IMHO.

All you need is to crank one up and drive it around, you'll see.
