Roof GS
Hey 2k1GS3
That is my car. Thanks for the complement! Clean is exactly the look I love so it means a lot when a fellow lexus owner says so. Yes the grille is the TRD/JDM grille. I have to say the quality of the grille is second to none. I had the RMM grille (looks great but quality and fit really sucked not to mention a lot of people have it), seen the L-sportline, TTE, L-tuned, and Blitz and out of all those, the TRD grille impressed me the most. The quality of the mesh is so impeccable- it has silver color when viewed head on but turns black when viewed from the sides as seen in the photos. The grille is a little expensive, with the price being around $400 but it comes prepainted which saves you a little cost. If you like it, get it from Hiro at www.stores.yahoo.com/lexusparts. He is very nice and has many other hard to find Japanese parts. The wing is the Rod Millen 3 piece wing. I rarely see lip spoilers on GS's. That is why I love it. Almost gave her up for the factory spoiler but came to my senses soon after. The quality of the wing is really good and the fit is perfect. I like this wing better than the L-sportline wing, although very similar, because the RMM wing has a cutout for the Lexus emblem which makes it look like it is a tigther fit. The wing is not too expensive and is attached to the trunk via 3M industrial strength tape. It will not fly off because the tape is super strong. I will post additional photos when I get my camera back next week. Once again thanks for the kind remarks. They are greatly appreciated!

Hey GSPOWER,
the rear lip spoiler can be installed without removing the emblems. The only thing is, the emblems sit really close to the wing so it may look a little funny. What I suggest is removing the emblems and repasting them slightly lower. Then it would look really nice. Hope that helps.

Presario, about your grill--do you think it looks much different from the TTE grill? They are similar in that there is nothing in the middle but mesh, which it what I want. The difference I see is that the TRD frame has a sort of beveled edge (i dont know how else to describe it) whereas the TTE looks like the frame is flush with the body for 1/2" to 1" and then straight to the mesh, know what I mean?
Having not seen either one in person I am curious if this is a noticable difference. Any input? I am also concerned about the quality and fit given the comments about some of the other grills people have mentioned. Was the color match good? Are there any other similar grills that you know of? Would you recomment Hiro to others? Thanks alot.

The TRD grille has a two teir design which I think is very nice. The TTE grille looks too fat in my opinion- there is too much plastic and not enough grille. I like the TRD grille because there is not much plastic. Both the TRD and TTE frille are of the highest quality though. Try looking at some TTE grilles found on the www.Lexuscreation.com gallery. Hope that helped 2k1GS3.

Andy--thanks for your response. I tend to agree that the TTE grill's plastic frame looks too fat. In fact, there are some other grills on the Lexuscreations site which show a grill with a really thin plastic frame, especially at the top. Do you think this is the TRD/JDM grill?
BTW, did you have to add the Lexus badge to the grill or does it come that way? Again, was the color match good and to your satisfaction? Was the install DIY?
Since we seem to have similar taste, what do you think of the two rear trunk spoilers offered by TTE? I kinda of like the really small one ala the M5 lip spoiler. Check out TTE.de.

I think that is a different grille. The lexus badge does not come with it. You have to buy it at the dealer. Costs $20 (it is the GS trunk emblem) and is ready to stick on. The color match is a little off. if you are a perfectionist like I am, you have to repaint it. It only costs like $50. It will look really nice after it is repainted though. Also, I think the M5 lip style spoiler is really nice. I have not see them up close but I'm sure they look fantastic.
Hope that helps.
Hey 2k1GS3, are you located somewhere near Los Angeles?
