Default Does this seem logical?

I was thinking of wet-sanding my headlights, as many other members here have done. Then polishing, waxing, etc.. etc... Once i do this, i do not know the repercussions of this. Will i have to keep sanding them to keep them looking nice? The reason i ask is because i want to add expel or something to cover my lenses. What i don't want to happen is to sand them, polish, wax, expel and then, my headlights get hazy. Or, is it better to sand etc... and add expel to keep them looking nice?

from what i know... u wet sand the headlight to either:
1) remove the scratches caused by rocks etc
2) remove the stubborn haze (which i personally believe a good oxidizing wax will cure)

once u do all the wetsanding polishing etc.. i would believe ur headlights should pratically be brand new...now to keep it from not hazing over i guess u can put xpel tape over it... but that doesnt solve the fact that the xpel tape can haze too from dirty water... just keep cleaning it with soap water

i've used a buffer and oxidizing wax once on my headlights about a year ago... everytime now my headlights seem hazy i just wash it down with soap water and its back to crystal clear

Yeah I been thinking about this and the thing with wax is if you put on about 3 coats it will last a year all you have to do is polish them up once in a while, OR you can buy taht 3m headlight protection of ebay.

The reason i ask is because i want to expel my headlights, but i don't want to Xpel them and then the haze re-appear because after time it just keep happening naturally. I guess what i'm saying is, if i wetsand them to get rid of the haze and then put xpel on the lights, will the haze appear under the xpel? or will that protect it from the haze?

Haze occurs when natural elements start to brake down the enemel. By putting a protective cover over the lense you are protecting it from harmfull chemicals. So no it wont come back.

like some others said, once it's all smooth and nice, you put on the xpel and it's forever, you don't have to worry about it. without it touching the outside air or whatever, it won't haze

and btw, after you buff the hell out of the headlights to make it smooth and shiny, no need to wax it..... and do NOT do that since you are applying the xpel
