Default Annoying

Anyone ever heard or had a dash rattle from the drivers side dash? It almost sounds like it is coming from where the dash meets the front door. I only hear it over a bumpy road. Any info would be helpfull...thanx

umm i don't have rattle there. is the door panel rubbing with the dash? try to stick your finger in there when driving and see if it goes away?

Hold your finger against the coin drawer and see if the noise goes away

thanx... but i tried that . It sounds as if 1 of the screws that hold the dash to the firewall is loose, but which one???? I just thought it might be a common problem.

how about this, when driving, put your hands on the a pillar, does it go away?

if not, try to push on the area right between the windsheild and the top of teh dash. that's where my rattle / squeak is

I might be able to help here. I no longer have my car, and when I did, I never had this rattle, but I had many other rattles, so I know the topic pretty well. As I recall, SeattleGS400 had a laundry list of various rattles and fixes for them. This particular rattle sounds like it might be coming from the vent/pass-through between the door and the side of the dash. I believe Seattle's fix to this problem involved taking off the rubber piece on the door and/or the plastic vent on the dash, felting everything and then reattaching it. If you do a search for SeattleGS400 and rattle, you should be able to find the string I'm talking about.
