EDIT: btw this is so messed up.... I just pick up my car from the paint shop and the curse gets me.... I was thinking about it all day while driving home... man w/ this new fresh paint I'm probably gonna get into an accident w/ my luck..... damnit! worst!

 

you might want to check your pulleys.. i've had a pulley seize on my integra and it made a loud screeching noise.. then the car would almost die out unless i step on the gas.. anyway.. i ended up snapping the belt.. the bearings on the pulley were shot.. just an idea.. you might have the same thing..
