is there a cold air intake for the gs? all ive seen are short ram intakes...my friends have cold air intakes for their other cars and they get more of a hp gain with the cold air then the short ram...any companies make cold air intakes for the gs???

 

what do you consider cold air intake? one with heat shield so it sucks only cold air?

what does all your friends drive? Some of my friends drive Integras and Accords and even with CAI it won't make much of a difference.

 

yea they drive integras,accords,civics, and other imports... they have cold air intakes where the piping runs down and the filter is pointed towards the ground so it sucks in air from the outside.. and theres a bypass filter incase it sucks in water... it kills some of the sound of the intake and it gets better hp since the air is much colder than the short ram intakes

 

I guess with the heatshields it produces the same effect as if you point the filter down torwards the ground. If a filter is all the way low down there, it makes it easier to suck in water and dirt.

I think it's much safer to have a standard intake with heatshield than having one that's close to the ground.

Just a little opinion...
The stock air intake is a "Cold air intake" since it takes air in from the front grill, so we all have a cold air intake stock without anymods.
