4.7 stroker GS400
I read somewhere on this forum someone talking about a 4.7L conversion for the GS400 Im really intrested in a stroker kit and was wondering if anyone knows where to get this
there is a link in the clubaristo forum with detailed pictures of the whole process. I think this was actually a 5.0 stroked engine. I commented about it a couple of days on it. It produced more than the 4.7 stroker kit.
In this nice mod the block was bored out and higher comp. pistons installed. The engine was close to 400hp with 360lbs of torque.
That was a one off deal though.
I would love to have those 400hp of N/A lexus engine.
where is that pesky blue M5 that keeps on bothering me?

Are you sure that's not 320 RWHP? Assuming about 17% drivetrain losses, that's about 380 HP at the crank which sounds about right...
PS www.tomsracing.com is not the site...The site I was at had Japanese...

yeap...it's expensive...but guys consider this. It is a normally aspirated engine producing 400hp...at least for the job I saw in clubaristo. 400hp on a N/A engine with lots of torque is in my opinion awesome.
Bliu is right about the RWHP its 320HP at the wheels.
About the Tom's or C's kit the engine used is not the one found on newer GSs, rather the 1UZ-FE engine which has ~260hp. The GS engine is better tuned from factory and has variable valve technology. So it is not worth even into looking for this option for newer cars, besides with the new GS430 out in the market who needs to be boring out blocks. what we need is more supercharged V8s on the street.
