Noise coming from drivers side vent
I have a 2000 Lexus GS300, and have had it since it was new. I have noticed that I can hear a squaky noise coming from the vent register that is located to the left of the steering wheel, all the way by the door. I have isolated it to the Climate Control System because if I turn off the CCS, the noise stops and only starts when I turn it back on. I have had it at the Lexus Dealer and they said they checked it out and my vent register was out of alignment and they adjusted it, but the noise is still there. Could it be the fan motor on my side? Anybody have any ideas?
i have the same problem in my 04 RX330 and 04 SC430, and i also had it in my previous 01 GS430. i complained as well, but they couldn't / wouldn't address it.
same thing w/ me - it happens on the lowest setting, something with the fan motor. turn it higher, it goes away - turn it off, it goes away.
it must be some kind of design flaw, b/c i notice it in the other models. i keep thinking something got in there, but they've checked and found nothing. irritating, isn't it?!? boo
