F$#*%@ Potholes
if that doesn't work, how about trying to go through your insurance. i'm sure your deductable is less than $900. just a thought.
...anyway, a friend of mine said you can call the city and issue a claim just like you do with insurance. i don't know about where you live, but you can do that in DC.
If you were lucky? and hit a pothole that'd been reported you had a chance to collect (but I'll bet a small chance at that). If the pothole showed up the night before you hit it and it hadn't been reported you were SOL.
Wonder if that law still exists....
I just love government
DIESELMAN63, i gotta hand it to you. for someone who lives in NYC you have some guts to put 20's on your car.
yeah alot of people tell me that on the road.. strangers I mean ! thank god nothing happened (knock on wood AGAIN !) I tried to avoid driving at night and IN THE RAIN cuz you can't see the potholes because its covered up by the water. You guy in the WestCoast have it made when it comes to road conditions. You don't have to deal with salt, snow, hail... all you have to worry about is curvy roads. If I had your roads, I'd be going 21's
well.. maybe...

Our roads are still whole, and if they do have a problem, you don't have to wait for decades for the unions to make progress fixing them. I travel monthly to Boston and NYC and am constantly amazed at how crappy the roads are back there. Worse yet, the 9-5 unions just can't keep up with the road rot that constantly evolves.
Of course, the West just can't seem to get it right when it comes to mass transportation. That's why our roads have to be so good -- we'd all storm the capitol if we had to drive on crappy roads because there isn't another way to get around.
I guess we love our cars too much out here...
Thx...Doug

, but my point is the city will fix it if you complained and filed a police report

I guess EVERYONE has it bad
1)EASTCOAST - potholes, snow, hail, heavy seasonal changes
2)WESTCOAST- E A R T H Q U A K E S
3)MIDDLE STATES- TORNADOES
We are all in trouble.
East TN
No hurricanes (ofcourse, lol)
No tornadoes (because mountains stop them)
No earthquakes
Not as hot nor humid as Atlanta.
And just the right amount of snow in the winter and sunshine in the summer, avg year-round temp is about 60 (around 75 in the summer) :-)
But there is nothing cool that happens here, like car shows, big concerts, anything big, doesn't happen here !
Even though some places may have it all good climate wise, no place has it ALL good.
Another bad thing about this place is that since its quite hilly, I can't lower my car nor put any body kit on it !
On the potholes thing, ask the city to fix it. Most insurance companies won't fix it because you have "aftermarket" wheels and therefore those aren't covered under your insurance policy. Your city may say that too and not reimburse you. But you can try !
Bitkahuna, you have a veeerrrryyy good point ! I forgot about the earthquakes ya'll get in the westcoast !!
