Hey Steevo,

I'm going to shoot you a PM on the subject, I just got back from 2 bodyshops and they both agree that Progressive is trying to pull a fast one. Total for the damages including HID was only 5200.00 . They didn't want to replace the HID light, just the front lens Remanufacured everything and cheap cheap shop rates...I really don't know where to start. This might be more complaicated than I thought

that's lame.... tell them that all parts have to be replaced with geniue OEM parts, just the headlights lens? tell them to get a stick and stick it up their ****.... that's ridiculous.....

and if i were you, i would get the car to the shop of your own choice and ask to do an estimate

Tell me about it...the body work hasn't started yet, but I'm sure it's going to be a knock down drag out battle My bodyshop is pretty cool, kinda gave me a wierd look when I told him I'm bringing the parts, but other than that, they were very supportive. Wish me luck.

they gave you the weird look coz' they are making much less money. here's why. supposedly, all parts needed to be purchased, they are charged at retail, and progressive will write a check to the shop for them. all shops they have contact with the dealership to get stuff at discount.

so effectlvely, they get some extra pocket money, period.

now if you are to get it. you will request the insurance to give you the check for it, and you buy it, and pocket the extra money
