2Savvy - Thanks for the compliment! Actually, my car will look like what's below soon (I apologize to the original owner of the photo below...it was just such a great picture that I had to use it my evil Photoshoping needs)...$3K for a body kit? I'm more concerned about the $7.5K for the Supercharger!

So far, no alignment problems with the H&R's...I am going to take it in for alignment in a month or so just to make sure.

To change the ride height, I jack the car up and take off the wheel. Then you loosen the lock ring. After that, you dial in the adjustment ring and then tighten the lock ring against it, put your wheel back on....you have to do that for each wheel you want to adjust. It's not something to want to do every day! But at least you have the option to lower or raise your car with coilovers. Plus if the springs start to sag, you can adjust the coilovers to raise the car back up to where you had it while you wait for some new springs to come...

I'm currently waiting for H&R to send me some new springs for the back coilover to lower the car about another 0.5" to 0.75" in the rear. I want a 1 finger gap all around. Right now, the rear is adjust to the VERY bottom and the car still sits a little too high for me...and I was NOT about to cut any coils off the spring! There is nothing wrong with the spring, but H&R has recieved numerous requests to have the rear end dropped some more. I am in the middle of the threads on the front so I can go up or down quite a bit in the front.

Wei - But what happens when you put on a body kit and the car is too low or two high? You have NO adjustment capabilities. Granted, my warranty is void on my suspension, but guess what? When I had all the TRD pieces install, THAT voided my suspension warranty. So changing your shocks and springs isn't going to make it more void. As for comfort, even with 20's, my H&R coilover equipped GS rides pretty damn good.

manaray,

That looks like the RMM body kit.. I know its urethane and of better construction but the front end piece does nothing for me.. Just my 2 cents.. I think the WIN body kit is perfect..

Can't wait to see what aftermarket parts will come out for my SC 430..

Anyways thanks for the info on the H&R's.. Learn something new every day on Club Lexus!

Ken

Ps: $7.5k for a supercharger.. Isn't the GS 400 fast enough

You know, I love the WIN.RACING kit also but there are two problems...the first is that there are WAY too many knock offs running around...secondly, the "Black Widow" kit for Civics, Integras, Accords, etc. is a knock-off of the WIN.RACING kit also...I really don't want a kit that's also available for Civics, Integras, Accords, etc..

When I was looking for a kit, I had a few requirements. The only two that really fit the requiremets is the AutoCouture v2 kit and the RMM kit. But after looking at the kits side by side, I think the RMM kit edges out the AutoCouture because it looks a little more aggressive. To tell you the truth, I'd be happy with either. Granted, a lot of people have the RMM kit but I think it looks sharp in black...and it's made of polyurethane...

Unless, in the next couple of weeks, someone else comes out with a kit I like (I'm actually hoping that Junction Produce and Prance Company comes out with something by them), I think I'm just going to get the RMM kit..

Manaray, you forgot one of the most popular GS kits, The Lsportline KIT (my kit) i think it perfect TRD grill with Lsportline! and the kit forms a nice gap well witht he L-tuned suspension, i am posting some pics of my car soon, but if you want Calvin has already posted a pic of my car at the Carson meet, it's the Dscn 1154 i think, the black car on the first page of the Carson meet.
Manaray, i think RMM looks good for the side skirt, front is a bit too plain = P but still rocks on black!

Wei, I looked at the Lsportline kit but there's a couple things I don't like about it...the first is the back bumper, I HATE the slits in the back. Lorinser does the same thing on some of their kits and I really hate that look...granted, on black it's not as obvious, but I really don't want it there at all. The other thing that I don't like about the the L-sportline kit is the opening in the front bumper...I don't like the way the opening is done with the dividers being on angles (see the photo below to see what I mean...)

Oh, the other thing I don't like is that when you see the kit from the side, the front bumper's bottom line angles upwards (from the wheel to the front edge of the bumper)

It's really odd though, I've seen the kit in person and the front bumper issues didn't bother me as bad (but the back bumper still does...)

I wish they would make a Version 2 kit that looks more like the LS430 kit.

That's what I like about the RMM kit...it's similiar to the Lsportline kit w/o the features I don't like.

The only thing that bugs me about the RMM kit is that the foglights seem too close together...but on black, it doesn't look as bad...

ARGH! This is why I'm having issues and not rushing out to get a kit...I need time to really think about it and see more cars with the kits on to make a final decision...

Manaray,

How about a compromise.. I agree with gsintensive that the RMM front end lacks style but how about the WIN front end with the side and back being RMM.. I can't remember but I think I saw a Spectra Blue GS on SprewellRacing.com with that setup and it looked really sharp.. But you spend your money the way you want to.. Just posing ideas..

2Savvy - Hey, I appreciate the ideas, trust me!

I have considered doing combo kits but I really want to stay away from the WIN kit...thanks to Black Widow, every Civic, Accord, Integra, etc. has a similiar looking kit. Plus the the GS WIN kit has been knocked off (by Carisma) and I really don't want a kit that's been knocked off and installed on a ton of cars...

A few of the other front bumpers I've consider didn't meet one or more of my "specs". Two that I REALLY like are the Esprit and the Evolution front ends, but they require a foglight change to round ones...I really don't want to change my foglights...that's why those are out.

Plus I really like the fact that the RMM kit is Polyurthane..

Manaray - I made the same observations about the L-sportline kit . I was going to get the rmm bumper instead of the l-sportlines because of the slit. That was my way of fixing that. But you want 1 brand so RMM all around.

The side view is right in line with what i saw.

The front holes i heard are actually functional . They help to cool the brakes. The main thing i didn't like from the front bumper was that it looked like an 97 Infinti I30. Look at the 2 fronts and you will see the resemblance.

Hehehe...I used to own a Infiniti I30 ('96-99 were all the same body style)...I don't think it's looks close enough though! Beside, I don't think anyone will mistake a GS with a Lsportline kit with an I30!

Not that the I30 is bad...it's not that bad of car (especially for the price)...and I think I'd take a newer I30 over a ES300 (you just get more car with the I30 than the ES300...)

Besides, Stillen sells a Supercharger kit for the I30 that give you GS400 performance for like $3500...

I'm still debating the AutoCouture V2 kit vs. the RMM kit...
