Exclamation Graphite Gs 17's?

Hello all...

Just wondering if anyone has seen or done the graphite finish on the GS 17 wheels(the 5 point). I recently purchased a spare and a tire and had this shop polish my wheel... I don't like chrome, and silver(though I preffer) is a bit dull IMO... So I thought, well how about polised??/ Hmmmm, picking it up in the morning, and I might go and have him do the graphite to get the IS300's 17" look. What do you all think???

I'm curious to see one of those wheels polished instead of chromed. that sounds kinda cool. so they are removing all paint and polishing? how much$?

Smile graphite wheels

Yes, he is stripping it and whatever that process entails.... he is charging $35 and a 1 day turn around, as he also did a minor repair from running over a rock on a flat tire. $65 total cost.Polish and repair. Will post pix if you all want to see..... I am probably going to have the graphite finish though as I really like that shiny smoke color... Should match nicely for my newly restored GS black paint, but i will see what the polished one will look like.....

the only wheels available in graphite finish from OEM were IS300 17's which are too thin (width wise) for GS's

Default graphite

Yes, I do believe, but not the GS 17's, which are the ones I am working on.... Speraking of which, I just put on the 15mm spacers up front.. Fills it in really nice.... I have the 25's in back now.... What do you all think?? A bit too much? Or good to go? Car is not up yet, but heading to the shop tomorrow for the body work and to be painted...

Default Caution.... May Hurt Your Eyes...

It will be going to the shop tomorrow or Wed... so no worries.. The damage really was not as bad as it appears.... No frame or major damage. Fender, bumper, and hood the only body parts.... I had to buy... I did most of the engine work replacing the stuff that was bad... Took the opportunity to clean out the engine and fine tune little things here and there.... Speaking of which. how hard is the timing belt to change? I mean since it is taken apart right now an dall. Can't wait to get it back...

Talking gs wheels

Well, here's the pic of the polished GS 17. It looks similar to chrome.. but not as shiny.... Kinda nice... But I am going to go and do the graphite... See what that looks like. It's my spare, so it's all good.

Default Graphite GS 17s

Rock,
Good luck on the body work. Keep us posted on the graphite GS 17s. You'll be the only one that I know of that has this. I'm interested to see how it comes out.
