I know this question has been asked a thousand times, but im just wanting to make sure. I have a 00 GS and i want to put the 01+ tails on them. I checked out the carson website and i see the price and it also says that they are plug and play. Do they really just unsnap and plug right into the old connections or do i have to actually replace the wiring harness? is there some DIY info out there or anyone who has done it? any suggestions would be of great help.. thanks guys..

It's plug and play as the website states. The new taillights come with a new wiring harness that replaces your old harness and plugs into your existing trunk wiring.
After replacing your new taillights you might want to consider cleaning your inner taillights (the two small ones on the trunk) so that they are nice and clean like your new ones. Go to an autostore and by a bottle of plastic polish, that's all you need.

CJ, whenever you start your post like that you should be clicking on SEARCH instead of new post . You're right it has been asked many times...
If you searched for tail light diy you would have come across this post pretty quickly (among many others) where I've posted a DIY I have saved on my webpage.
Good luck! It's an easy swap, just make sure you get the ones from Carson that come with the 01+ pigtail wiring on them. Some folks have bought them off of ebay without that pigtail and end up having to create a new harness for the lights or order the pigtail separate. Much easier IMO to do one stop shopping
