Question

What modifications can be made to a GS400 without voiding the warrantee? So far I have put on the GReddy Power Extreme. Just got it yesterday, sounds so nice. I love it. Please help me out and let me know what else I can do without voiding the warrantee. Thanks.

Default L-Tuned

If L-Tuned parts are installed by the dealer your warranty remains in force.

You can purchase them anywhere (like from Steve Ganz of Carson), but you have to have the dealer do the install to keep the warranty.

I talked to my Lexus dealer on modifications that I can do to the body, engine, and suspension. They told me as long as long as I do not experience any problems with the car, directly related to warranty covered problems, it should be ok. (i.e. installation of NOS and an engine blowout under 30,000 miles would not be covered under warranty!!!) Jsut check with the local dealer and see what they say. My suggestion is to talk to a young guy, who's pretty interested in the import scene.

Hope that helps

The warranty issue is a rather grey area. The Magnuson-Moss Act, a federal law, makes it illegal for a car manufacturer to deny an owner a repair covered under the carfs warranty, solely because of an aftermarket modification made to the car. Voiding of coverage is allowed only if the manufacturer or the dealer can prove that the modification caused, or substantially contributed to, the specific problem or failure which the owner is seeking to have repaired under warranty.

get the SRT intake its probably the best mod to combine with your exausts setup and it shouldnt void your warrenty since they let you do the exaust but with that and the exaust youll be pushing around 340hp!!!! just something to think about
