Default Automatic door locks?

Can I make the doors lock automatically while in motion? Do I need to bring it to the dealer?

Yes. Yes. Dealer can change C-BEST settings for you.

Actually, I have a 98, and the dealer set it for me on my car. The problem was that the car would lock when I put it in drive (which was fine), but it would unlock all 4 doors when I put it in park (which I really didn't like for security reasons). So, I had them turn the feature off.

Where can I get a list of all the adjustable C-Best settings for 98-00?

I think you'll be able to find them if you do a search. I remember a thread from over the summer that discussed them all.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they're the same. I remember going through the settings with my dealer as the computer was hooked up to my car and all of the ones discussed in the thread were options for my 98.

Now I'm sure I'm wrong. It looks like there are many more settings for 2001+ than pre-2001. However, automatic door locking is definitely a feature on pre-2001 because I had them turn it on for me, didn't like it, and had it turned off.

If you disconnect the battery, does your C-Best settings reset to default?
