Default Console Peeling!!

I've noticed the edges of the console peeling away from the backing! At this point the worst part is hidden from direct view by the driver’s seat. However, as the peeling grows it will be more noticeable over time. Has anyone experience this problem? If so, how did you repair it?

I had the same problem, the car I bought was originally from Texas.
Don't laugh but I was able to fix it with Super glue.

I'm not laughing Super glue sounds like a pretty good solution. I was quoted $90 with no guarantee of a fix just a couple of days ago. Now... I just have to figure out how to remove the console.

Hmmmmm. There must be a week spot in that location...Mine is pealing up in the exact same spot. The driver's side will require either removing the console or the seat. The pealing is around a foot long and the seat will not move forward or back enough to glue down the entire area.

I'll be trying this fix after I pick up a new tube of Super glue.

I used a very special high tech bonding agent available at the local Wal-Mart; sold under it's retail trade name "Super Glue" not to be confused with Krazy Glue

My center console and dash are also getting destroyed by our tropical sun and the more I try to fix it (leather conditioner, UV protector, whatever), it gets even shinier and worse, I am beginning to see hairline cracks in corners and at the top....

I am redoing the whole interior next week. Should freshen it up quite a bit by the time i am done.

I finally had a chance to get out and fix the pealing problem. I carefully squeezed a fair amount of Super Glue onto the backing and held down the area for several minutes to be sure the two surfaces bonded. When I released the pressure...nothing...arghhhh the area pealed right back up as if I was trying to stick to two pieces together with spit
